Carlton Digby School is expanding its provision to offer a Satellite Hub for primary aged children with SEND.  The satellite hub will be based at King Edward Primary School in Mansfield and will the first of its kind in Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for dynamic and forward-thinking teachers to join our successful school / hub provision from September 2021. The posts will mainly be based at the Mansfield site, however, there will be plenty of opportunities for cross-site experiences, teaching, training and development.

Carlton Digby School is a maintained special school for children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities aged 3 – 18 years. In March 2020, the school was given an Ofsted grading of ‘Outstanding’. The main school has 90 pupils on roll and the Hub will cater for up to 24 primary aged children.

The successful candidates will be responsible for a class across the school / hub and take responsibility for a subject area throughout the school. The area of curriculum responsibility is open to some negotiation. Please ensure your letter of application specifies your area of strength. You will be passionate about pupils’ learning and working as part of a successful team. This post is not suitable for NQTs (please see other job vacancy that is suitable).

Nottinghamshire County Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 29th April 2021. Interviews will take place week commencing 10th May 2021.

We are currently unable to accept visits to the King Edward site, but visits can be arranged to the main site. Please look at our school website for further information.
