Educational and Extended School Visits
Educational School Visits
We always try to enhance the relevance of the pupils’ learning and where appropriate off-site visits are arranged as an extension to the curriculum with a view to broadening the children’s learning experiences. Some trips are local; St Anns Allotments, Goose Fair, Greens Mill, local libraries and parks. Others are further afield and include Conkers, The Birmingham Sea life Centre and Drayton Manor Park.
All school trips are organised well in advance and carefully planned to meet appropriate health and safety requirements. Participation requires parental consent and where there is a cost parents are invited to make a voluntary contribution. We encourage all children to participate and if cost is an issue there is the possibility of financial help available.
Extended School Visits
Pupils may have the opportunity to visit Hagg Farm in 2020 as part of the school residential. There will be two groups of pupils going, the first group from Monday 22nd June to Wednesday 24th June and the second group from Wednesday 24th June to Friday 26th June.
The fully trained and qualified instructors, with the support of school staff, provide a full programme of outdoor pursuits and activities in a safe and controlled environment. The activities available include: abseiling, zip wire, climbing, obstacle courses and orienteering – to name only a few! Accommodation is in dormitories with staff supervising at all times.
